End 68 Days of Hunger is a nonprofit organization with offices in communities throughout New Hampshire that sends school-aged children in need home at the end of the week with enough food to feed their families for the weekend. This was a new partnership for us; we learned about the organization through our Portsmouth office business contacts, and selected it after learning about its mission supporting students in the Seacoast area. Excited to help, the entire firm and their families contributed food items, totaling four boxes and several bags, which were dropped off at a local chapter office.
How to help
15.7 million children in the U.S. live in food-insecure households. End 68 Days of Hunger’s weekend program, established in New Hampshire in 2011, puts nourishing food in the hands of school children to carry them through the weekend. You can help by donating food, funds, starting a chapter, or many other ways listed on their website.
To kick off the school year, we selected two nonprofit organizations that directly help school-age children. Our firm, which supports more than two-dozen Granite State nonprofit organizations through donations and volunteerism each year, partnered with Child Health Services in Manchester and Seacoast-area End 68 Days of Hunger this fall. Both our Manchester and Portsmouth offices took part in these successful initiatives.
